Group Exercise and Group Training

Group Exercise is drop-in, available at multiple times with various formats. Join fellow Members and participate in these complimentary Group Exercise classes. Also available at the Sports Club are specialized Group Training led by certified trainers. These cutting-edge programs vary throughout the year and help Members reach their personal goals. These Group Training options are fee-based.

Mobility Classes


Yoga is designed to strengthen muscles and increase flexibility of the spine joints and ligaments. While simply stretching and breathing you will refine your awareness of your own body and create healthy patterns for reducing stress and body aches.

Mat Pilates

Mat Pilates is designed for beginners to advanced levels of fitness. Emphasis will be on the precision and flow of Pilates mat exercises, challenging each level. Additional equipment may be incorporated.

Cardio Classes

Cardio Kickboxing

Cardio Kickboxing combines punching, kicking, and rhythmic movements set to heart pounding music! This workout is designed to melt away pounds and inches while targeting every muscle group in
the entire body.

High Fitness

High Fitness fuses old school aerobics and simple modern fitness techniques together to form a highly addictive fitness experience with music you know and love.

Power Cycle

Power Cycle leads you on a journey through hill climbs, sprints, time trials and interval training bouts to achieve an intense aerobic workout.

Step Up

Step Up combines cardio drills on an adjustable step to the beat of high-energy music gives you an excellent total-body workout good for burning fat, building muscle and improving your fitness.


Zumba infuses Hypnotic Latin rhythms with easy to follow dance moves to create a dynamic fitness/aerobic workout.

Strength Classes

Core and More

Core and More is a muscular endurance class that utilizes functional exercises to build core strength and stability while using upper and lower body muscles.


Muscles is an intense strength building class using weights and rubber resistance. This class reinforces good technique using multiple sets of simple and compound movements.

PiYo Strength

PiYo Strength is a class that combines Yoga Poses with Pilates mat exercises to build core strength and enhance agility and balance.

Trifecta Strength

Trifecta Strength combines three different modes of strength training to give you a total body workout.

Combo Classes


CSI is a combination of cardio and strength intervals designed to burn fat and build endurance followed by 10 minutes of core work.

Total Fit

Total Fit offers a combination of more intense cardio and weight training techniques that delivers a full body workout.


Aquacize incorporates both cardiovascular and resistance training to burn calories and gain strength, while avoiding stress on the joints.

Group Training


Led by certified instructor and Fitness Director, Pam Owens, The Royal Oaks Country Club is the only facility in Houston to offer this program and one of two facilities in the state of Texas. Kinstretch promotes, encourages, strengthens mobility development, body control, joint strength, injury prevention and flexibility. The basic purpose of all Pilates workouts is to develop the body’s core strength – the powerhouse – through focus on the breath and mindful movements of the body.  Once the basics of proper breathing and focused movement are mastered, the reformer helps to increase core strength and improve flexibility, while encouraging the smooth flow of movement that is necessary to maintain correct form and alignment of the body.

Personal Training on the Pilates Reformer 

Pilates is a uniquely transformational method of body conditioning that yields profound results for people of all ages and abilities. The pilates reformer is a piece of exercise equipment that helps to tone, smooth, strengthen, and stretch integral core muscle groups. This dramatically improves your sense of your body’s alignment and posture, increase muscular strength and control, and provides an increased range of motion in your legs, torso, and shoulders. Golf and tennis professionals, along with other athletic participants, have found that a strong, flexible body is critical in developing and maintaining optimal performance. The pilates reformer is also a great benefit to those recovering from injury or anyone seeking good posture and optimal health. 

Private Pilates Reformer training sessions are available for 30 minutes or 60 minutes. 
Semi-private sessions (2 people) and group sessions (3 people) are available for 60 minutes.


Total Resistance eXercise

This system refers to a specialized form of suspension training that utilizes equipment developed by former U.S. Navy SEAL, Randy Hetrick. TRX uses body weight exercises to develop strength, balance, flexibility and core stability simultaneously. TRX is fully integrated into the training of all four branches of the US military and can be found in the locker rooms of major league baseball teams, national football league teams, UFC fighters and Olympic-level cyclists, swimmers and runners.
ROCC has the privilege of hosting group suspension training. By utilizing the suspension straps and a variety of fitness equipment, you can improve your core strength, flexibility and overall fitness level with an incredible group of friends!
