Tennis

Surrounding a regulation Croquet Lawn, the Tennis Facility at Royal Oaks features seven lighted tennis courts and four shared pickleball courts. Five hard courts including a Stadium Court done in the U.S. Open blue and green color scheme and two Hydro Grid clay courts, all built independently, to give you the feel of playing on your own private court. In the Tennis Facility, members have complimentary access to training tools such as a state of the art Playmate ball machine and a Sportwall. 

This years’ tennis programming for men, women and children include weekly Adult Clinics, the Junior Tennis Academy, the Junior Summer Tennis & Sports Camp and a wide array of Social Events/Tournaments for tennis, pickleball and croquet.

Our Ladies Leagues have been very successful in league play over the years, compiling a total of 18 Divisional Championships. Our ladies’ teams, range in level from a NTRP 3.0 level up to 4.0 and compete year-round in interclub play. All the ladies on our league team rosters are members of the Club. 
 
The Junior Tennis Academy which features all of the USTA Quickstart Programs, ranges in age from 4 to 14. Classes run twice a week throughout the school year. In the summer, our State Licensed Junior Tennis and Sports Camp runs for eleven consecutive weeks. The Camp is a great opportunity for your child to not only sharpen their tennis skills, but expose them to a variety of other sports and activities that they may have not had the opportunity to experience. Tennis, Golf, Soccer, Basketball, Table Tennis, Flag Football, T-Ball, Pickle Ball, Swimming and Fishing are just a few of the sports featured in our camp. Ages 5 to 14 may participate and parents have the luxury of choosing either Half-day or Full-day Camp options. 

Our tennis staff includes full-time USPTA Elite Professional teaching pros. The “Elite Professional” level is the highest rating a teaching professional can obtain. Our teaching pros are available year-round for private and group instruction.   


Tennis Policies

Court Reservations Policy -

  • If the Member(s) No Shows or No Contacts about their court reservation, a $20 split between all members on the court reservation is billed.
  • If a Member(s) has a PM court (noon or later) reservation, they have until 11:59am that day to cancel their PM court for no charge. If you cancel after noon, a 50% charge may be applied.
  • If a Member(s) has an AM court reservation, they have until 7:00am that day to cancel their AM court for no charge. If you cancel after 7:00am, a 50% charge may be applied.
  • Each violation comes with a warning and is at the discretion of the Director of Tennis.

Lesson Cancellation and No-Show Policy -

  • If a Member(s) No Show or No Contacts, they are charged 100% of the lesson fee.
  • If a Member(s) has a PM lesson (noon or later), they have until 11:59am that day to cancel their PM lesson for no charge. If you cancel after noon, a 50% charge may be applied.
  • If a Member(s) has an AM lesson, they have until 7:00am that day to cancel their AM lesson for no charge. If you cancel after 7:00am, a 50% charge may be applied.
  • Each violation comes with a warning and is at the discretion of the Director of Tennis.
